The only downside is that the app needs a car mount for the iPhone and active GPS/GPRS connection for real-time status updates. Other features include object detection, lane detection and a heads-up display from current driving status. It sounds stupid if you are changing lanes intentionally, but can be a boon if you are dizzy and change lanes accidently. To being with the app will warn you if you depart from the lane you are driving in. Augmented Driving is an app that uses the iPhone’s camera to get a view of the road you are driving on to analyse and warn you about the obstacles and / or mistakes that you may be making. Don’t you wish your car too had the jazzy stuff like ‘object detection’, ‘lane departure warning’, ‘collision warning’ etc when we talk about these features while reviewing the high end luxury cars? Well, if you have an iPhone, you might just be able to get features similar to these on that 3.5 inch touch-screen.
